‍About this role:

ALPHA10X is the AI leader in private markets investments. Our Nostradamus platform analyzes data at scale to shape the knowledge and foresight that generate alpha and impact. The company is a well-funded growth stage startup and aspiring unicorn, rapidly expanding our revenue, customer base, and market presence, while scaling operations, enhancing products, and securing additional funding to further accelerate development. Our team includes prominent business leaders, investors, scholars, and data scientists.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the CFO on preparing investor reports, forecasts, and financial analyses critical to ALPHA10X’s growth.
• Access and manage data using our Cloud-hosted accounting software, providing actionable feedback on processes and enhancements.
• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping (up to trial balance).
• Perform accounting functions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting in a complex multi-company setup.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses of corporate costs compared with quarterly forecasts and the annual business plan.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Handle bookkeeping for special projects and regular period-end closing entries.
• Manage bank reconciliations, payments, and accurate recording of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist with tax filings across jurisdictions.
• Support payroll administration, including ESOP management and employee benefits coordination.
• Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and propose solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• General HR and legal administration including employment contracts.

‍ What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, ideally supported by training from an accredited organization.
• A post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (an asset).
• Experience navigating and mastering new software interfaces with ease (e.g. Jenji).
• In-depth expertise with QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); familiarity with G-Suite is a plus.
• Experience with payroll, ESOP plans, and GST/HST filing.
• Familiarity with IFRS or GAAP and understanding of financial compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
• Experience in multi-company, multi-currency environments.
• A keen interest in leveraging automation tools (e.g., Zapier, RPA) to streamline processes.
• Superior writing and communication skills, with an ability to present data clearly and concisely.
• Good French and English level is a must.
